DrogonTV on MAG Box: Portal Setup Guide

Connect a MAG box to DrogonTV: register the MAC address, enter the portal URL, restart. Plus fixes for every MAG error.

MAG set-top boxes from Infomir (MAG 322, 324, 349, 351, 420, 424, 520, 524 and others) are built for IPTV and run DrogonTV through a portal rather than a player app. There is nothing to install: you register the box’s MAC address with us, type one portal address into the box, and restart.

How MAG activation works

A MAG box identifies itself by its MAC address, which always starts with 00:1A:79. Your DrogonTV line is attached to that MAC address on our side, so the box never asks for a username or password. That is why we need the MAC address before you set the box up.

Step 1: Find the MAC address

  • It is printed on the sticker under the box and on the side of the retail box.
  • Or, on the box: Settings → System settings → Device info (on some firmware, Status).

Send the MAC address to us on WhatsApp together with your plan. We reply with your portal URL once the line is active.

Step 2: Enter the portal URL

  1. Switch the box on. On the start screen, open Settings (the gear icon or the SETUP/SET button on the remote).
  2. Go to System settings → Servers → Portals.
  3. In Portal 1 name, type DrogonTV.
  4. In Portal 1 URL, type the portal address from our message exactly, including http://, the port and the trailing /c/ if it has one.
  5. Select OK to save.

Step 3: Restart and load the portal

  1. Go back to the settings menu and choose Restart portal, or unplug the box for ten seconds.
  2. The box connects to the portal and loads the DrogonTV interface — live TV, films, series and the TV guide.

MAG tips

  • Always use Ethernet. MAG boxes are designed for a cable, and older models have weak or no Wi-Fi.
  • Update the firmware under Settings → Software update; recent firmware handles 4K and HEVC streams better.
  • Set the time zone under System settings → Time, or the TV guide will be shifted by hours.
  • Older MAG 250 / 254 models do not decode HEVC, so some 4K channels will not play on them. HD channels are unaffected.

STB emulator on Android

No MAG box? The STB Emulator app on Android TV turns any box into a virtual MAG. Open its settings, go to Profiles → STB configuration, note the MAC address it shows, send it to us, then paste the portal URL under Portal settings. For most Android users, though, the regular Android TV setup with TiviMate is simpler.

Common MAG problems

Message on screen What it means Fix
“STB blocked” / “Not authorized” The MAC address is not yet attached to a line Send us the MAC address again; check for a typo
“Loading portal” forever The portal URL is wrong or unreachable Re-enter the URL with http:// and the port
Guide times are wrong Time zone not set Set the time zone under System settings
Some 4K channels black Box cannot decode HEVC Use HD versions or a newer MAG model
